The City of Stonnington is moving to a new online service system. There may be delays registering for the system, making online payments and processing applications during the October transition period.
In line with our commitment to improving the public realm within Chapel Street, streetscape improvements to Union Street, Windsor will be undertaken early-2022.
The works are part of the Chapel Street masterplan to create attractive, vibrant spaces for residents and visitors, and help stimulate the local economy.
The streetscape improvements will create a greener, more active environment for residents and businesses to enjoy.
The wider footpaths will contribute to creating a safer and more activated environment with more opportunity for café dining and retail trade opportunities.
By adding more street trees and garden beds, wider footpaths, public seating and a place for more bikes with new bike hoops, Union Street will be a great place to visit, rest and play, and a place to enjoy with family and friends.
Plant new street trees
Construct and plant out garden beds
Widen bluestone footpaths on both sides of Union Street
Construct new kerb outstands at Union/Chapel intersection
Install new street furniture and bicycle hoops
