Toorak Basketball Club – Come and Try sessions
Join Toorak Basketball Club!
Toorak Basketball Club welcomes boys and girls aged 6 to 20 of all skill levels, including beginners. With over 30 teams competing across two competitions, we offer a fun, supportive environment to develop skills and enjoy the game. For those who prefer to train without competition, we also offer training-only memberships.
Come and Try sessions
A great introduction to basketball for all abilities. See how you feel on the court and check out what teams and competitions are available with the club!
What to expect:
- Fun, clinic-style training with drills and mini-games
- Friendly and welcoming environment – no experience needed
- Skill development – dribbling, passing, and shooting
- Team play – build confidence and teamwork
What to bring:
- Runners (sports shoes)
- Comfortable sports clothes
- Water bottle
- Basketball (optional – we provide them)

Financial support – Team Sports 4 All
We believe every child should have the opportunity to play sports. Team Sports 4 All provides funding for families experiencing financial hardship, covering fees for those who meet eligibility criteria (live in government housing, hold a health care card or are of asylum seeker status). If cost is a barrier, we encourage you to apply for support through Team Sports 4 All.

About us
Toorak Basketball Club is a community club with over 50 teams and 400 players. We welcome all from Under 7s to Under 21s and currently field teams in both Playball and Waverley Basketball Associations.
Our focus is on providing a fun and safe environment for young people of all skill levels. We aim to build every player's self-esteem and teach them the importance of good sports behaviour, a team-first attitude and the value of hard work.
