Early Childhood Education and Care: Level 2

Early Childhood Education and Care Level 2 is a bridging course for Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and care. It is designed to support learners to gain vocationally contextualised foundation skills through practical and applied learning activities.

Each module provides opportunities for learners to participate in individual, small group, or whole class activities, helping them to build confidence and develop their skills. Program resources include PQF documentation, teacher and learner workbook and accompanying presentation materials.

Topics include: What is Early Childhood Education? National Quality Framework Health and hygiene Accidents and emergencies Learning through play and routine Cultural awareness and inclusion Communication with children * Communication with families and colleague

Program Length: 40 hours

These materials are aimed at learners working at Level 2 of the Australian Core Skills Framework.

Upon completing this course, participants can apply for the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care at TAFE or begin a traineeship.
