Choosing quality care

When looking for quality Early Years care things we recommend you consider:

  • Will this service help support my child’s Early Years journey?
  • Is it a non for profit service?
  • What type of services are provided e.g. long day care, occasional care, funded Kindergarten or sessional care?
  • Are children’s rights, safety, physical health and wellbeing needs being considering in the daily practice of the service?
  • Does the service have a continuous improvement plan?
  • Are the educators attentive and engaged with supporting children’s education and development?
  • Are the children’s voices captured within the program?

Child Care Subsidy

The Department of Human Services provides a Child Care Subsidy to help families with the costs of childcare. Please go to the Centrelink website to check your family's eligibility or go to your MyGov or Centrelink account to lodge a claim with Centrelink.

Once the claim for the subsidy is completed and you have finalised enrolment for your child, you will need to approve the Service Provider through your MyGov or Centrelink account to ensure entitlements are applied to your child’s attendances.

No Jab No Play

The Victorian Government’s ‘No Jab No Play’ legislation requires parents to provide the child’s current and up-to-date immunisation history statement upon enrolment to accept a place at our services.

You can request an immunisation history statement from the Australian Immunisation Register by:
