Ageing well in Stonnington

Older residents are valuable members of our community, and the City of Stonnington is committed to maximising opportunities to age well and live healthy, fulfilling lives according to their own individual choices.

We are proud to support our residents to age well through the introduction of a new Service Advice, Advocacy and Support team, to assist older residents and their families with understanding the aged care system, particularly as it undergoes reforms.

The team is available to provide information and practical assistance, including how to register with My Age Care, how to access local community services and sector advice regarding residential aged care.

In addition to this new service, we continue to provide community transport services and social support programs for older residents including the Engaged program.

To contact the Service Advice, Advocacy and Support team, please call 8290 3224 or email agedservices@stonnington.vic.gov.au
