Our Stonnington Libraries provide great spaces for literature and life-long learning, plus resources, books, computers, reading, workshops, activities and events for people of every age and at every stage in life. They also provide a cool respite over summer.
Start this month off with a good book or an exciting literary event – here’s what’s on offer:
You, your little ones and your loved ones can enjoy activities including Rhymetime, Lego® Builders, Storytime, Arty Crafty Kids, Collage Creations, Book Chat, Phoenix Park Knitters, Family History Club, Beama Streamers, English Conversation Circle, Chess Club, Saving Seeds, Free 15-minute hearing check, History Matters: Yarra Birrarung: Artists, Writers and the River, and Get Connected: How to stay safe online.
On 13 February, (6pm to 8pm), we’re proud to present a special event: All The Rage: an evening with Paulie Stewart, hosted by Claire Halliday.
See and hear rock legend and activist Paulie Stewart OAM bare all as he talks about his memoir, discussing his music and activism and performing a live set Malvern Library. Get your tickets now. It’s a free event, but bookings are required.
Then to finish the month off, if you’ve ever wanted to tackle the classics but unsure where to start or ever wanted to join a book club but don’t have the time to read the whole book, the Classic Short Reads Club is for you.
Meet every month for a lively discussion about a classic short story, discover hidden gems or revisit old favourites, while meeting other curious readers.
