Recognise our tiny but mighty pollinators by joining the Australian Pollinator Count during Australian Pollinator Week 9-17 November.
Australia’s incredible insect pollinators are vital to our plants and ecosystems, especially in our urban environment.
Get to know these ecological heroes by joining the Australian Pollinator Count from your backyard, balcony, street or local park.
How to count
1. Learn about our pollinators
Go to the Australian Pollinator Week website, read or watch the information about pollinators and take the quiz to test your identification skills.
2. Go outside and complete your pollinator count
Use the hard copy printout or the online form to guide you.

Protecting our Powerful Plant Pollinators event!
On Sunday, 17 November, join us at Lost Lands Found at Central Park in Malvern East for a special event with entomologist Dr Luis Mata and Wemba Wemba Wergaia ecologist Dean Stewart. Learn about some of Stonnington’s local pollinators and the important role of indigenous plants in ensuring their survival.
Attendees will also be able to participate in a guided pollinator count.
If you haven’t done a pollinator count before, don’t worry – we’ll guide you on the day.
