History Matters: DNA and family history

Have you ever wondered about DNA and how it can assist you in researching your family?

Join Janet from the Stonnington History Centre to learn more about DNA testing and how it can be used for family history research.

We'll discuss the pros and cons of DNA testing and look at three of the most common DNA tests on the market – AncestryDNA®, MyHeritage DNA® and Family Tree DNA™.

Bookings are required.

This event will be presented online via Zoom. To join you will need an internet-enabled computer, tablet or smartphone. The Zoom meeting ID will be sent to the email address you registered with one hour before the start of the session.

How to use Zoom

On your computer

1. Click on the link in the event confirmation email you received after registering and you will be prompted to download and install Zoom.
2. Enter Meeting ID or link, and the Password in your event confirmation email.

On your tablet or smartphone
1. Download the ZOOM Cloud Meetings app from your Apple App Store or Google Play Store prior to the workshop.
2. Enter Meeting ID or link, and the Password in the event confirmation email sent to you after registering.
