The Toorak/South Yarra Library has reopened with all the usual library services, resources and collections. The entrance has been rebuilt and a new lift installed to make visiting the library easier for everyone.

With the Library back in business, all your favourite programs will return including Storytime and Rhymetime, Chess Club, and Chatty Cafe. We're excited to welcome you back and look forward to seeing you soon.

Also from 2 September, the Study@Greville will be open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1pm to 5pm. Bring your device to connect to Wi-Fi and make use of print, copy and scan services. There are ample study and work areas alongside a boutique collection of books.

Toorak/South Yarra Library entrance and lift upgrade

Opening very soon

The City of Stonnington is upgrading the Toorak/South Yarra Library entrance and lift, to ensure the library is accessible to all visitors. The library is now closed for the duration of the works. We had originally hoped to have the library open by the end of July but Melbourne’s weather and some construction challenges has pushed back completion.

The good news is the new accessible ramp and entry is now complete and the new lift is being installed. By the time we open the doors, the library will be fully accessible to visitors of all abilities.

We want to thank you for your patience during this community facility improvement project and we look forward to welcoming you back very soon. In the meantime you can learn more about the project by visiting the building works page.
