Phoenix Park Community Centre is a multi-use facility available for casual and ongoing hire. The Centre is home to the Phoenix Park Neighbourhood House, Scope, and Inclusion Melbourne. It hosts rooms ideal for kids' birthdays, cooking classes, meetings, exercise and for food preparation.

Venue hire

How to book

Download and complete the Venue Hire application form(DOC, 236KB).

Once we receive and process your application form, we will email you an invoice.

After you've paid the invoice within the nominated timeframe, we will send you a booking confirmation letter.

You can visit the centre before making a booking. To make an appointment, contact our Facility Officer on 0428 767 142.

No tentative bookings are available for this venue. Applications are processed on a ‘first-in’ basis. You can also check venue availability by making a booking enquiry online.

Email your booking cancellation request at venues_booking@stonnington.vic.gov.au at least 14 days prior to a booking to receive a refund on the hire fee.

Sports facilities

The venue includes the following sports facilities:

  • One 28 m x 15 m 3/4 indoor basketball court with stadium lighting and toilets.
  • Suitable for basketball, netball, volleyball, futsal and kid's sports.

Access and keys

You do not need to pick up a key, a Facility Officer will be on-site to open and close for you. Please bring a copy of your booking confirmation letter.

Please note that access is provided in accordance with your booked times.

Barbeques (BBQs)

For safety reasons you cannot set up your own BBQ, spit roast or outdoor cooking apparatus. There is a public BBQ you can use at Phoenix Park.

Alcohol

BYO alcohol can be consumed inside the Centre, provided it is done so responsibly. Alcohol cannot be taken into the playground. A liquor license is required to sell or serve alcohol, refer to conditions of hire for more details.

Getting there and parking

Getting to Phoenix Park Community Centre is quick and easy with many convenient and sustainable travel options to choose from.

Enjoy the fresh air, leave the car at home and walk or ride a bike.

If that doesn’t work for you, hop on a tram, train or bus and let someone else do the driving.

Parking

There are two car parks that service the Phoenix Park Community Centre on Rob Roy Road.

On-street parking is also available on Rob Roy Road and Ivanhoe Grove.

There is overflow parking at Percy Treyvaud Reserve, only a 5-minute walk away at 32 Chadstone Road Malvern East.

Public transport

  • Route 612 (Box Hill to Chadstone via Surrey Hills & Camberwell & Glen Iris) Stop at Armstrong Court/Chadstone Road
