Renewable energy

Create a more sustainable home by switching to renewable energy. Learn about rooftop solar, available government rebates and purchasing GreenPower.

GreenPower

GreenPower is a federal government scheme that allows households and businesses to purchase clean, renewable energy from most electricity retailers. The electricity retailer will add certified renewable energy to the grid on your behalf.

Getting GreenPower is a great first step to reduce the impact of your household's energy consumption, and is something everyone can access. It's also a great way to access renewable energy if you aren’t able to install rooftop solar on your home or business.

Visit Victorian Energy Compare to see if you can get a better deal on GreenPower through your existing retailer, or if it's better to switch. Victorian Energy Compare is the Victorian Government's independent energy price comparison website.
