This park has two different sections. The Wattletree Road part of the reserve has a nice selection of plant species. It has a couple of nice lawn areas, a pergola and some seating and it is a quiet area for sitting. The Wheatland Road end of the reserve has a playground with accessible equipment such as basket swings with rubber matting, a BBQ, a basketball backboard and is an active area popular with dog walkers. The reserve is also home to the 2nd Malvern Scout Group.

Closest public transport is Tram Route 5 which stops out the front on Wattletree Road.
