Built in 1934, the Malvern Valley Golf Course is located off the Monash Freeway and next to Gardiners Creek. Set in tranquil surroundings, it is a haven from the hustle and bustle of the city.
For golfers
The 18 hole public golf course offers an interesting and challenging game for all levels.
The course is well maintained with its own water supply, offering great conditions year round.
The Golf Course Hub has recently been fully refurbished, including significant building upgrades to improve the facilities. This includes a new pro-shop, café and bar and function centre.
A green corridor in the city
The Malvern Valley Golf Course is an important green corridor in an increasingly urban area. It is one of the City of Stonnington’s key biodiversity sites, providing habitat and food for local wildlife.
A wide variety of birds visit the golf course, including Red-rumped parrots, Yellow-tailed black cockatoos and Kookaburras. Nesting boxes have been installed around the golf course to provide our local birdlife with safe nesting sites.
Significant revegetation works along Scotchmans and Gardiners Creeks will help improve waterway health, increase habitat, support urban cooling for surrounding areas as well as provide health and wellbeing benefits for the community.
