Mindful Art: The Trustee for Willmott Family Trust
Mindful Art uses the arts (such as painting, drawing, dance, poetry, drama and sculpture) as a vehicle to connect ourselves with our body, thoughts and emotions, others and our environment. Creating and appreciating art can be a powerful, healing, transformative and empowering process. Through developing a mindfulness approach to creating and sharing art, we can develop better awareness and appreciation of ourselves, others, and our surroundings. Mindful Art facilitators are gentle, supportive, and encouraging creative artists, who provide a safe and nurturing environment for all to learn, and grow. In Mindful Art classes, participants learn mindfulness and meditation techniques through a range of creative arts disciplines.
