Knitting of the Round Table
We are a small group that loves knitting and would love to have new members join us in our hobby. We have been going for over 40 years.
We find knitting promotes relaxation, relieves stress, improves our focus and of course we produce beautiful hand-knitted garments for others to wear with pride.
The group has been meeting for over twenty five years which shows our commitment to our craft. We knit blankets, hats, booties, bonnets, jackets, and teddy bears for many community organisations.
The Little Penguins on Phillip Island wear our knitted sweaters to help them survive oil spills.
Preemie babies are kept warm with bonnets and teddy bears comfort children while in hospital.
In 2014 we united with other Australian knitters and took up the challenge of knitting red poppies for Remembrance Day.
Our purple poppies were part of a project to recognise the deeds and sacrifices of war animals serving alongside our troops.
We can help with your personal knitting and we provide the wool, needles and a cuppa as we work on squares for our patchwork blankets or other challenging projects. The patchwork blankets are given to charity groups in winter.
All are welcome to join us and enjoy the friendship.
