Glaas Inc

Glaas Inc is a not-for-profit volunteer organisation and Registered Charity that works to progress the use of glass in art and architecture; and supports glass artists, makers and students.

Glaas Inc supports the glass qualification courses at Melbourne Polytechnic and has established the Australian Centre for Glass Design on the Prahran MP campus.

Everyone involved in running Glaas Inc is a volunteer, and we welcome new volunteers to join us.

Events and initiatives include:

• glass exhibitions
• workshops and talks
• mentoring of young glass artists including employment advice and creating a sustainable practice
• supporting established and emerging glass artists
• advocacy for glass in art and architecture
• working to retain the age old skills of leadlighting and stained glass painting
• glass Makers' Markets
• general advice to the public for commissioning glass work and more.
