Going Circular business program

We're supporting Stonnington businesses to unlock the hidden value of the circular economy through our free circular business training program.

The Going Circular business training program will support participants in identifying new business opportunities to drive stronger financial, environmental and social outcomes for their business and customers.

What's in it for you?

With expert support, participants will identify opportunities to improve their business performance, resulting in:

  • reduced costs
  • more customers
  • increased customer spend
  • new revenue streams
  • improved supply chain resilience
  • reduced waste.

The program consists of online workshops, optional one-on-one consultations with a circular economy expert, and a wrap-up event. During the program, participants will develop a tailored pathway and action plan to drive circular business outcomes.

Key dates

The 2024 program will run for six weeks from Monday 7 October to Friday 15 November 2024. Sessions will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings 6pm to 7:45pm.

We will be hosting a closing networking event on Wednesday 20 November during the final week of the program.

An online information session will run later this month providing an overview of the program and how participants will benefit. The session will include an open Q&A to help those who are yet to decide if the program is right for them. What is the circular economy?

The Circular Economy is the sustainable antidote to our current, linear economy, which is driven by continuous production, consumption and waste, causing pollution and environmental impacts.

Rather than dealing with waste as an outcome, the Circular Economy represents significant economic opportunity by focusing on designing waste out from the start.

Raw materials, Design, Production, Retail, Consumption, Reuse & repair, Collection, (Residual waste), Recycling, Design.

The circular economy has three key principles:

  • eliminate waste and pollution
  • circulate products and materials (at their highest value)
  • regenerate nature.

Every business can use the circular economy to drive stronger financial, environmental and social outcomes for their business and customers. The Go Circular business program will show you how.
