Apply for a Licensed Premises Permit

There are specific Victoria-wide requirements for running a business that serves or sells alcohol.

You must get Planning Approval from Council when:

  • permitted hours of trading are extended
  • permitted number of patrons are increased
  • the red-line area where liquor is permitted to be consumed or supplied is to be increased.

Planning Approval is issued by Council’s Planning team, and is separate from a liquor license from the Victorian Government.

Follow the steps below to apply for your Licensed Premises Permit.
