NOTICE OF INTENTION TO DISCONTINUE ROAD AND SELL LAND
PUBLIC NOTICE INVITING SUBMISSIONS UNDER SECTION 223

Stonnington City Council (Council), acting under section 206 and clause 3 of Schedule 10 to the Local Government Act 1989 (Act), proposes to discontinue the road abutting the rear of 78 Williams Road, Prahran, being the whole of the land contained in Memorial Book 328 No. 409 and Memorial Book 336 No. 11 (Road), and shown as “Lot 1” on the plan below, and to sell the land comprising the Road to the adjoining owner for market value.

In accordance with section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 and as part of Council’s Community Engagement process, any person wishing to make a submission on the proposal must do so in writing by 5:00pm on Wednesday 4 December 2024.
You can provide your submission via:

• post to Property Coordination, Stonnington City Council, PO Box 58, Malvern VIC 3144;
• email to propertycoordination@stonnington.vic.gov.au; or
• hand deliver to Stonnington City Council at 311 Glenferrie Road, Malvern.

A person making a submission is entitled to request in the submission that they wish to appear in person, or to be represented by a person specified in the submission, in support of the submission at an Ordinary Meeting of Council on a date, time and place to be determined by the Council.

Any submissions received will be included in the Council Agenda and Minutes published on Council’s website, including the personal information of the submitter. Please indicate in your submission if you do not wish your personal information to be identified in the Council Agenda and Minutes.

All submissions and personal information will be handled by Council in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014.

Submissions will be considered at an Ordinary Meeting of Council in accordance with section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989. Following consideration of submissions, Council may resolve to discontinue and sell the Road, or not to discontinue and sell the Road.
