We are upgrading the McArthur Street Park playground in Malvern. 

We know the local Malvern community loves the playground, its suitability to younger children, landscape setting and timber play equipment.

With this in mind, playground upgrades we're proposing uses natural timber play equipment with pops of colour and introduces a variety of play equipment to delight toddlers and children up to 12 years of age (and beyond).

Community consultation on the playground was delivered over two stages:

May 2024 we asked the community to share their connection to the playground, what they love about it and what, if anything, would make it even better.

August 2024 we shared the draft concept design that was influenced by what the community told us. This is a second chance for the people who use the playground to share their feedback and help us deliver a space that will be loved for years to come.

Feedback from both rounds of engagement has informed the final design. Construction of the playground is planned in the 2024/25 financial year.
