Dunlop Street raised pedestrian crossing

Signs of roadworks, triangle with man digging, witches hat, hard hat

The City of Stonnington is upgrading the raised pedestrian crossing in Dunlop Street, Malvern East – at the crossing with the Gardiners Creek Trail.

The works are programmed to commence in May and will take approximately six weeks to complete.

During construction, detours will be in place around the Dunlop Street pedestrian crossing works zone. The detour will be signposted and traffic controllers in place to assist where required.

We recognise works of this nature will cause some inconvenience. Every effort will be made to keep disruption to a minimum and we thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

All upgrade works are complete except for the relocation of one light pole.

The pole will be relocated following approval from the appropriate authority to do so. We had anticipated this would have happened by now but it is taking a little longer than we had hoped.

We expect approval within the next few of weeks. The pole will be relocated and the project fully complete once the approval comes through.
