Basil Street Park

The City of Stonnington is building a temporary park at Basil Street, Malvern.

The City purchased a portion of the East Malvern RSL with the plan to convert the land into public open space. The sheds, shelters and wall have now been demolished as the site is prepared for temporary landscaping.

The strategic long-term development for this parcel of public open space is part of the larger Kooyongkoot (Gardiners Creek) masterplan delivery. However, we are building a temporary park so the community can enjoy the benefits of the open space.
