Privacy Collection Notice for community questions or statements

The personal information you provide in your question or statement submission, including any attachments, is collected for the following purposes:

  • To inform councillors and relevant Council staff about community questions or statements related to Council meetings and decisions.
  • To contact you about your question or statement.
  • To ensure that your details are accurately recorded for the formal meeting minutes, which will be made public.
  • To contact you in the event that there are last minute changes to the meeting time or venue.
  • To advise you of the outcome of a Council decision.

If you have nominated another person to represent you at the Council meeting, we may contact them via the phone number provided to let them know about the meeting.

Submissions form part of the public record of the proceedings of the meeting (including any personal information you provide) and will be published on Council’s website (accessible worldwide) for an infinite period of time.

A hard copy of these records will also be made available for inspection by members of the public upon request at Council offices. All submitter's names are read out during the Council meeting and recorded in the Meeting Minutes, which are later published online. An audio recording of the meeting is also uploaded for public viewing and can be made available to members of the public at Council offices.
